Assalamu’alaikum wr wb, hello everybody. I lost my passion on blogging lately. 😦 I hope i just need to ‘pause’ a while. Since i still not in the mood, i only posting a recipe of my favorite dish, spicy oyster sauced baby squid/ cuttlefish.
“Tumis cumi pedas saus tiram”
10 regular size of squid, cleaned, sliced and cut it criss-cross in slants or according to your preffered.
1/2 tin of canned button mushroom, sliced thinly.
3 shallots, cleaned and sliced thinly.
2 – 3 cloves of garlic
2 red chillies, sliced thinly.
3 – 4 green bird eye chillies (cabe rawit/ cili api), pound a bit just to make the spicy comes out.
1 slice of ginger, cleaned.
1 slice of galangal (lengkuas/ laos), cleaned and pound it.
1 stalk of lemongrass, cleaned well and pound a bit.
2 kaffir lime leafs.
3 tbs of oyster sauce.
1 pinch of salt.
1 tsp of sugar.
Saute the garlic and shallots with 2 tablespoon of cooking oil until fragrant. Add sliced red and bird eye chillies, ginger, gallangal and lemongrass together. Mix them until blend. Then add the remaining ingredients and cook until the squids just tender enough . Serve with warm rice, mmm… yummy!
Easy right? And you could adjust the veggies according to your taste. You could use fresh oyster mushroom instead and could add red or yellow bellpepper. Just try it.
